Assistant General Manager – Upscale Casual Restaurant
$80,000 - $90,000

Your Role with the Company:
The Assistant General Manager serves as a role model for the rest of the staff as a leader in hospitality skills and guest service. Your role is to make every guest’s experience an amazing one and no request goes unheeded. Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead, develop, train, and motivate staff to provide the highest level of guest service
- Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed in a timely basis
- Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner
- Control cash and all other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations
- Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity
- Monitor budgets and payroll records and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted
- Organize and direct training programs, resolve personnel problems, make hiring and termination decisions, and evaluate employee performance
- Train, coach, and hold team accountable to all SOP’s to ensure consistent operations
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years as an Assistant General Manager for a high volume ($8M+) upscale full-service casual restaurant
- Passionate about hospitality, guest service, and team development through mentorship and feedback
- Proficient in financial management, including P&L oversight and understanding of business operations
- Skilled in labor cost control and staff scheduling to align with business needs
- Experienced in managing systems and upholding operational standards
