Title: Asst Dir- Analytics & Modeling

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Develop and apply quantitative modeling and data analytics to conduct complex theoretical and empirical research on measurements of credit risk and fixed income valuation. Conduct research and provide analysis to the firm's prototype implementation and software development activities. Develop credit risk models for public and private companies across the globe. Contribute to the development of industry leading credit risk and valuation models. Partner with clients in measuring and managing risks in their portfolios, as well assist clients and internal marketing and client services teams on the education and

implementation of risk management technology. Collaborate with financial researchers and data analysts on research projects. Present research findings to technical and non-technical audiences internally and externally. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Financial Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research, or a closely related quantitative field plus one (1) year of experience as a Data Scientist, Analyst, or in a related position conducting quantitative analysis and performing financial and statistical modeling. Must have experience with the following: performing data analysis and retrieval in SQL and machine learning using one or more software languages such as R, Python, or equivalent scientific computing language; data mining and machine learning with large financial data; AWS; Software Engineering in Applied Mathematics; Full back-end pipeline development & deployment of models; Research into novel AI techniques; and applying knowledge of complex financial models and algorithms to identify and analyze market patterns and trends. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $91,270 to $192,300/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
