Quality Assurance Technician (Bilingual)

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Guarantee product satisfaction by coordinating, testing, and providing tools for quality assurance and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct quality audits on the production floor daily, including GMPS and housekeeping Inspection and follow-up of returns (complaints): review of product quality, packaging condition, product life, packaging, packaging, and presentation.
• Conducting root-cause studies and implementing resulting corrective actions.
• Control and follow-up of inspection records, compliance with standards, and records of suppliers, raw materials, distributors, and suppliers.
• Preparation and management of technical data sheets for outgoing product from the process.
• Fills out and reviews necessary paperwork for product audits and HACCP/SQF documents; Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Conduct raw and packaging component sampling, inspections.
• Records and evaluates test data, alerting the QA manager to any deviations from specs. Perform pre-op inspections of sanitation standard operating procedures (SOPs); monitor room temperatures.
• Address and discuss problems/proposes solutions with superiors; provides support to the QA Manager.
• Follow and apply food safety, food defense, and policies. Any deviations must be communicated to the plant supervisor and the QA manager.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 1 - 2 years of experience in a food-related manufacturing facility.
• Quality Control experience in a food manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge of USDA/SQF/SOP/performance of inspections (is a plus).
• Knowledge in basic GMPs. (is a plus).
• Must be able to read and write in English to perform necessary documentation.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

• College degree in Food Science or related field with HACCP certification.
