Our signature corn-based creations and crave-worthy comfort food are served fresh from our vibrant food trailer. We’re growing—and we need a skilled and passionate individual to join our team!

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Chef or Cook with solid food prep experience and the ability to confidently drive and operate a food truck with trailer. The ideal candidate is as comfortable behind the wheel as they are behind the grill.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary Duties:

• Prepare, cook, and serve food to The Chubby Corn’s quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and health code-compliant kitchen.
• Manage prep, inventory, and portion control.
• Assist with menu execution and food innovation.
• Interact positively with customers, providing friendly service.

Driving & Operational Duties:

• Drive truck and trailer to scheduled locations (events, festivals, catering gigs).
• Safely tow and set up the food trailer.
• Ensure proper power/water hookups when needed.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting for the trailer/truck.
• Assist with load-in/load-out and restocking supplies.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years cooking or kitchen experience (food truck experience a plus).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience towing a trailer (proof of capability may be requested).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat environment.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Bonus Points For:

• Food Handler Certification.
• CDL or trailer endorsement.
• Experience in event or mobile food service.
• Passion for creative street food.
