Job Description

Job Title: Night Shift Area Resident Manager

Location: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) – CTA, Terminals, Parking Structures, Airside Areas (AOA Apron & Gates)
Client: LAWA (Los Angeles World Airports)
Reports To: CALM Manager (with coordination under Roadway Area Resident Manager Lead)
Project Scope: Oversight of projects within CTA including Terminals, Landside areas (Parking Structures, CUP, Roadways), and Airside (AOA Apron & Gates).

Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 11 PM - 7:30 AM
Salary: $175,000 - $185,000 per year plus benefits.

  • Huddles & Coordination:

    • Lead Nightly Huddle (2330 hrs) and distribute Roadway Bulletin, Terminal Bulletin & Daily Roadway Map.

    • Lead Morning Huddle (0630 hrs), prepare/distribute attendee report with ASR/construction activities.

  • Site Checks: Conduct physical inspections at active construction sites in CTA, Terminals, and AOA.

    1. Verify personnel count deployed.

    2. Ensure correct ASR is in possession of Project Supervisor & displayed on vehicles.

    3. Confirm barricading and signage per approved ASR.

    4. Validate scheduled deliveries are authorized & coordinated at huddles.

    5. Coordinate with Safety/Inspection teams; escalate violations to LAWA Police & Operations if vehicles/equipment lack correct ASR or permit.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Take and label photos (vehicles, equipment, traffic flow, passenger movement, barricades/signage).

    • Produce Nightly Report with written narrative, photos, personnel count, late flight info, and attach relevant documents.

    • Upload reports to CALMSHARE, save on V Drive, and distribute to stakeholders.

  • Compliance & Communication:

    • Ensure public area construction has proper barricades/signage.

    • Coordinate with contractors to correct deficiencies, escalate to CALM Sign Shop Manager if needed.

    • Collaborate with TDG, FMUG, OPS, TSA, IT, Safety/Inspections, and Airport Police.

    • Develop protocols for orderly shutdowns minimizing passenger/tenant/contractor disruption.

  • Leadership & Oversight:

    • Meet regularly with CALM ARM Lead for recommendations on staffing, procedures, and protocols.

    • Develop tools for tracking and record-keeping.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years Construction Management (preferably airport projects).
  • 3+ years of Airport project experience OR 5+ years in other critical facility environments
  • Strong background in planning, leadership, organizing, and team coordination
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (required). Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Ability to understand design and construction intent.
  • Certifications (Preferred):

    • AAAE, LEED, PMP, PE, CCM, or equivalent professional licensure.
