As MBCI's Pre-Engineered Metal Building segment within the Components business unit in Shelter Solutions continues to thrive, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Sales to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving our strategic planning and implementation efforts.

Scope:

  • Lead a team of 4-8 sales managers across the United States
  • Oversee a portfolio exceeding $200 million in annual sales, with a focus on expanding margins alongside consistent volume growth
  • Take ownership of the P&L for all Componentized Buildings and Private Label Building customers

Responsibilities:

  • Establish sales and margin targets aligned with company objectives
  • Develop strategic sales plans to drive sales growth, customer segmentation, and customer stratification
  • Collaborate with business development to maximize value from project specifications, enhancing close ratios and expanding margins
  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders to develop a coordinated go-to-market strategy for PEMB and associated product solutions
  • Drive various projects to enhance transactional efficiency and support customers and internal operations effectively

Essential Functions:

  • Develop annual sales plans aligned with MBCI's strategy and objectives
  • Direct the implementation and execution of sales policies and practices
  • Coordinate growth strategies with Business Development to expand market share
  • Recommend sales strategies based on market research and competitor analyses
  • Lead integration initiatives to support our aggressive M&A strategy
  • Foster a sales culture that prioritizes exceptional customer service
  • Drive sales performance through talent acquisition and development
  • Build, develop, and manage a sales team capable of executing sales and service initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications



Qualifications

:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field required
  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience (building materials industry preferred)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in technical product selling
  • Equivalent experience in a similar industry or product field preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to lead successfully in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to influence leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and approaches
  • Proven track record of leading teams to execute strategy and deliver superior results
  • Remote office location is acceptable, with regular travel expected to support the business
