Essential Job Functions

• Instructs various fitness classes
• Collaborates with other instructors and administrators to create and develop class offerings, content, equipment needs and schedules that best meet the community's needs
• Verifies exercise space is ready and safe for use by checking for safety hazards including the floor, cooling systems and equipment needed
• Follows university protocol in case of injury or emergency
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Experience with group training, personal training or other related work experience
• Current certification by a recognized organization (e.g. NSCA, ACSM, ISSA)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Demonstrated passion for exercise and a willingness to work with participants of all fitness levels

Preferred Qualifications

• One of more years of experience with group or individual training

Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
