We are seeking a customer-centric and results-driven General Manager to lead our LFA Machines business unit in Fort Worth, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and grow a business that provides critical product and service solutions to clients in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. You will have full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility and will be accountable for developing and executing a customer-focused strategy that drives growth, innovation, and operational excellence. This leadership role encompasses all facets of the business unit, including operations, sales, and customer service..

The General Manager will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer.

Job Responsibilities

Operio Equipment Center of Excellence:  

  • Establish a World-Class New Technical Product Center of Excellence to build and deliver the Operio family of products to our end customers.
  • Assume full P&L responsibility for the LFA Machines business unit, ensuring financial sustainability and maximizing return on investment for the company and its customers.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of all products and services including new equipment, Firma Press, and excipients while maintaining or exceeding quality expectations and optimizing costs to provide competitive solutions to customers.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the business unit, including production, purchasing, scheduling, quality control, and supply chain management, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of high-quality products and services to customers.
  • Create KPI's for the business unit and keep a scorecard aimed at demonstrating how the business is running and improving.

Customer Focus & Solutions:

  • Cultivate a strong customer-centric culture within the business unit, prioritizing customer needs and satisfaction in all aspects of operations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer challenges and requirements and translate those insights into innovative product and service solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor and partner to help them achieve their business objectives.
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to expand our product and service offerings to better meet evolving customer needs.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues and concerns, exceeding expectations in service delivery.

Strategic Leadership & Growth:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy that aligns with the overall company vision and prioritizes customer value creation.
  • Identify and pursue organic growth opportunities, including new product development, market penetration, and strategic partnerships, with a focus on delivering solutions that address customer needs.
  • Evaluate and execute inorganic growth initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, to expand the business unit's portfolio and market reach in alignment with customer demand.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive assessments, and customer segmentation to inform strategic decision-making and identify emerging customer trends.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team across all functional areas of the business unit, fostering a customer-centric mindset and empowering employees to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and employee engagement, ultimately leading to improved customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop talent and succession plans to ensure the long-term success of the business unit and its ability to consistently meet customer needs.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and customer trust.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contributing to a positive and productive work environment that ultimately benefits customer service and satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry is highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a production environment, with at least 2-5 years in a General Manager or similar role with full P&L responsibility.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability, with a demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and quality management systems, with the ability to translate these principles into tangible customer benefits.
  • Excellent financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to assess the financial impact of customer-focused initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing teams, fostering a customer-centric culture and empowering employees to deliver exceptional service.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and build strong relationships.

Pay: $130,000 - $150,000 based on education, experience, and skills.
