Position: Integration Program-Level Software Systems Engineer
Position Type: Full-time Onsite
Position Location: Huntsville, AL
Clearance Required: Active Secret

Waypoint’s client is seeking a skilled ITI Program-Level Software Systems Engineer to support the IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office, working with contractors, government civilians and system operators.

Responsibilities :

• Develop system level features with focus on THAAD integration describing MEI and CSCI behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to provide guidance for software implementation.
• Lead reviews and adjudicating comments made against the features.
• MBSE approach is used to document the features using an Agile workflow.

Requirements :

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field is required.
• 7 or more years of system engineering experience.
• must have experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • THAAD system
  • IBCS system
  • tactical command and control systems
  • tactical weapons systems
  • tactical sensor systems
  • software, hardware
  • requirements decomposition
  • MBSE tools and languages
• Comfortable working as a team member in an Agile environment
• Engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure that software is capable of meeting the needs of the intended users.
• Highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles
• Secret security clearance (or eligibility).

Desired:

• System engineering experience in support of DoD programs (Army Air and Missile Defense program; highly preferred).
• Hands-on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF.
• Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• SAFe Agile experience.
