Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)– New York

Salary Range: $90,000 – $95,000 per year

Location: Freeport, New York

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide direct clinical services to clients dealing with a wide range of mental health concerns, while contributing to a supportive and respectful therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing counseling sessions (individual, group, or family).
• Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external providers to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active LMHC license in New York (required).
• 1+ years of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong therapeutic, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and HIPAA compliance.
