A Catholic Elementary School Teacher is responsible for fostering a Christ-centered, academically excellent learning environment that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth of each student. The teacher will integrate Catholic values into all aspects of education, maintain high academic standards, and uphold the mission and vision of the school in alignment with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS).
Faith Formation: Model Catholic values, integrate faith into instruction, and participate in school liturgies and religious activities.
Instructional Excellence: Develop engaging, standards-based lessons using varied strategies and technology to promote critical thinking and a love of learning.
Student Development: Support students’ academic, spiritual, and emotional growth while maintaining high expectations and regularly assessing progress.
Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues; actively participate in school events and service initiatives.
Professional Growth: Pursue ongoing development, collaborate with peers, and reflect on teaching practices to enhance student success.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Valid teaching credential or certification appropriate for elementary education.
Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
Strong knowledge of Catholic teachings and a commitment to faith-based education.
Experience teaching in a classroom setting, preferably in a Catholic school.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance instruction.
