Hours: Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM (17.5 hours per week)
Compensation: $15 hr

Job Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Janitor, you will:
✅ Clean and maintain classrooms, restrooms, offices, lunchrooms, gyms, and public areas
✅ Collect trash, dust furniture, clean entryways and interior glass
✅ Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces
✅ Use floor care equipment (training provided)
✅ Follow safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
✅ Perform other janitorial duties as assigned

Requirements
✔ Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
✔ Reliable transportation to and from work
✔ Physically able to lift/move up to 15 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
✔ Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
✔ Ability to understand written directions, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
✔ Professional attitude with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Previous janitorial or cleaning experience (especially in a school setting)
⭐ Experience with cleaning equipment (e.g., buffers, auto-scrubbers)
⭐ Training in building maintenance trades is a plus

Background Check & Compliance
Due to Michigan public school requirements, individuals with theft, violence, or drug-related backgrounds are not eligible for employment. A background check is required.
