We are seeking a QA Engineer Manager for a remote role with our client in West Chester, PA. Compensation depends on experience level. 10+ years of experience in Software QA in an eCommerce environment required.
The QA Engineer Manager to define and optimize testing processes, ensuring the highest quality standards across our eCommerce platform and operational systems. This role will be responsible for increasing automated testing coverage, integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines, and managing external QA teams to execute scalable and efficient testing.
As a QA Manager and Senior Engineer, you will take ownership of building and optimizing test automation strategies, defining QA processes, and managing the execution of both manual and automated tests. You will indirectly manage third-party QA teams, ensuring they execute high-quality test coverage for eCommerce workflows, API integrations, payments, compliance, and fulfillment operations.
This role blends individual contributor work—writing automated test scripts, setting up testing tools, and integrating them into the pipeline—with test strategy leadership, ensuring our QA function scales effectively.
● Define and implement a scalable QA strategy, ensuring high test coverage across all platforms.
● Significantly increase automated testing coverage, writing and managing test scripts using Playwright and leading the migration from Rainforest to BrowserStack.
● Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring smooth and efficient releases.
● Oversee test execution across multiple commerce-specific workflows.
● Indirectly manage and optimize the work of third-party QA teams, ensuring they execute test cases effectively.
● Establish and enforce defect management processes, using Jira.
● Report on test execution results, tracking key quality metrics and driving continuous improvements.
●10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with hands-on expertise in both manual and automated testing.
● Proven experience writing and managing automated test scripts, particularly with Playwright or similar frameworks.
● Strong understanding of commerce-related testing, particularly payments, multi-step checkouts, and fulfillment workflows.
● Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
● Ability to define QA strategy and optimize processes while managing remote contract teams.
● Familiarity with BrowserStack, Jira, and other test management tools is a plus.
● Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide external teams while remaining hands-on in test execution.
