This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer in United States.

As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for shaping the user experience and visual design of web software products, ensuring interfaces are intuitive, elegant, and accessible. You will collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and engineers to translate complex workflows into seamless user journeys. This role combines hands-on design execution with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior designers and maintaining design consistency across products. You will advocate for accessibility and inclusive design, conduct user research and usability testing, and help drive the evolution of the design function. This position is remote and offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, innovative organization while working on meaningful, impactful projects.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process from discovery through delivery, including research, wireframing, prototyping, and final visual design.
  • Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and iterate on designs to optimize user experience.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality implementation of design specifications.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering professional growth and design excellence.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback while maintaining design integrity.
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design practices across all products.
  • Monitor design trends, emerging tools, and best practices to continuously improve product usability and aesthetics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design for web-based software.
  • Proven experience designing complex applications and workflows.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in interaction design, visual design, and design systems.
  • Prior experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or finance is highly valuable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Strong understanding of usability principles, information architecture, and accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
  • Ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility in design decisions.
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring, project assignment, and performance evaluation of design staff.
  • Innovative problem-solving and critical thinking skills, thriving in fast-paced environments.
