We are currently recruiting experienced and skilled Steel Shutterers and Steel Fixers on behalf of our client, a reputable and well-established construction company involved in high-profile building and infrastructure projects.
These are full-time roles suited for individuals with a strong background in formwork and steel reinforcement, who are confident working in a fast-paced, site-based environment and delivering quality workmanship to industry standards.
Steel Shutterers:
Assemble and dismantle formwork and shuttering for concrete structures such as walls, slabs, columns, and beams.
Interpret technical drawings and plans to ensure precise formwork placement.
Cut and shape timber and plywood or use pre-fabricated formwork systems as required.
Ensure structures are safe, level, and ready for concrete pouring.
Work closely with site supervisors and other trades on site.
Steel Fixers:
Position and secure steel reinforcement bars (rebar) and steel mesh used in reinforced concrete.
Cut and bend steel using hand and power tools according to specifications and drawings.
Tie rebar together using wire and pliers.
Follow technical plans and ensure all work meets structural and safety requirements.
Collaborate with shuttering teams and concrete pourers.
Proven experience as a Steel Shutterer and/or Steel Fixer within the construction sector.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
Valid CSCS card or equivalent certification (as required by local regulations).
Ability to work well in a team and under minimal supervision.
Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for manual work.
