Job Description

Lynch & Associates is a growing multidisciplinary consulting firm with a family-focused culture located in New Berlin and Burlington, Wisconsin. Our core business includes civil engineering, surveying, construction observation, and municipal services. We provide innovative solutions through technology, inspired design, and client-centric customer service. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Survey Technician to join our team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1 or more years of experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train a motivated candidate with a strong work ethic who is eager to learn and develop their skills.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Currently enrolled in Associate Degree courses or related field of study, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with shifting priorities.

Essential Responsibilities:

Candidates would be required to perform the following tasks:

  • Complete various civil engineering tasks assigned by a Project Manager, Professional Land Surveyor, or Project Engineer and work under their direct supervision.
  • Assist in preparation of proposals and marketing documents for Land Surveyor or Project Managers.
  • Provide miscellaneous assistance for Professional Land Surveyor.
  • Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D in the preparation of surveys, site plans, grading plans, utility plans, construction layout, and staking.
  • Assist in field surveying, construction staking, or observation services, as requested.
  • No physical limitations to restrict their ability to work through inclement weather or terrain, remain standing or walking for several hours at a time, and lift 40 pounds.
  • Regular communication with clients, peers, and agencies on projects.
  • Ability to provide overtime to meet project deadlines.
  • Assist in any other assigned tasks in support of the Lynch & Associates team.
