Job Description

At PrizePicks, we are the fastest-growing sports company in North America, as recognized by Inc. 5000. As the leading platform for Daily Fantasy Sports, we cover a diverse range of sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, and Esports titles like League of Legends and Counter-Strike. Our team of over 450 employees thrives in an inclusive culture that values individuals from diverse backgrounds, regardless of their level of sports fandom. Ready to reimagine the DFS industry together?

We are looking for a thoughtful and experienced UX Researcher with a proven track record of constructing and delivering impactful research to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will have experience executing research at all stages of the end-to-end design process and be a fierce advocate for our members and their experiences. Our research philosophy is to appropriately balance speed and efficiency with rigor while ensuring we maintain curiosity, empathy, and a passion for solving problems. Collaboration and stellar communication with cross-functional partners, including product managers and designers, is critical. You’re a strong fit for this role if you’re comfortable independently scoping and executing evaluative and generative research, leveraging insights to inform and influence decision-making, and are open to learning and growing.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and execute research studies using a variety of methods including usability testing, in-depth interviews, diary studies, etc.
  • Own the end-to-end research process within your domain including prioritizing & scoping, recruiting participants, collecting data, synthesizing and analyzing data, and delivering findings
  • Partner closely with cross-functional team members in identifying key research objectives and questions to address research needs across the product lifecycle
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights, and strategic narratives through compelling storytelling and creative artifacts, reports, and read-outs
  • Communicate research findings, insights, and recommendations clearly and effectively to key stakeholders, including senior leadership

What you have:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in UX Research, Design Research, or Human Factors Engineering
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Psychology, Human Factors, HCI, Anthropology, or related field
  • Strong proficiency with qualitative or mixed-methods research and executing both evaluative and generative studies
  • A portfolio or case studies highlighting your end-to-end research process and the impact your work had on an organization, team, product, and/or feature
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with and influence stakeholders
  • Experience with remote testing tools (e.g., dscout, UserTesting, UserZoom, etc.)
  • A deep curiosity and passion for uncovering user needs, motivations, behaviors, and pain points
  • Bonus points for having comfort/familiarity with quantitative methods (e.g., surveys, log data analysis) or an interest in developing those skills

Where you’ll live:

  • This is a hybrid position based at our PrizePicks headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

Working at PrizePicks:

This application period will remain open for 30 days. We’re committed to finding the best candidate, so this date may be adjusted, and any changes will be reflected in this posting.

Benefits you’ll receive:

In addition to your great compensation package, full-time employees will be eligible for the following perks:

  • Company-subsidized medical, dental, & vision plans
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Annual bonus
  • Flexible PTO to encourage a healthy work/life balance (2 weeks STRONGLY encouraged!)
  • Generous paid leave programs, including 16-week paid parental leave and disability benefits
  • Workplace flexibility and modern work schedules focused on getting the job done, not hours clocked
  • Company-wide in-person events and team outings
  • Lifestyle enhancement program
  • Company equipment provided (Windows & Mac options)
  • Annual performance reviews with opportunities for growth and career development

You must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
