Job Description

**Introduction** As a Solution Architect in IBM Technology Expert Labs, you will be a pivotal team member who connects the client's technical functional, non-functional and implementation requirements with a solution design and proposal. You will work closely with clients, sellers and the Delivery team to build solutions based on the meeting the client's business outcomes and known best practices for the technology and industry. **Your role and responsibilities** Solution Design * Providing expert end-to-end technical guidance to lead discovery discussions with prospective clients, assess architecture needs for projects, work with technical leads and Sellers to create proposals. * Assume overall technical responsibility for the success of proposed solution design, solution content, solution construction, and solution integration. * Propose high quality solutions to clients in response to varying business requirements. Solution Proposal * Leading client workshops, influencing client stakeholders at all levels to find the best architectural outcomes that align to business and technology strategies and initiatives into actionable roadmaps with clear direction on execution to ensure business value and ROI. * Design and construct work breakdown structure leading to the estimation of efforts and resources needed to enable pricing. * Produce the statement of work of the solution Project Success * Establishing personal relationship at all levels - from engineers to CIOs - with experience of navigating challenging debate to reach healthy resolutions during the plan and proposal process. * Responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through comprehensive knowledge of solutions offerings, strategies and direction as it relates to the client's business, infrastructure and industry. * Through the use of pre-sales methodologies, apply in-depth knowledge of leading-edge technology solutions with industry and business skills to influence clients to adopt IBM solutions. **Required technical and professional expertise** * 10+ Years experience implementing large scale webMethods engagement * Experience with newer webMethods releases including iPaas , MSR , Containerization, and Hybrid Integration models * Experience architecting hybrid integration solution for customer * Experience in at least one Cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP) * Supporting primarily PS sales via technical presentations, workshops, PoC, RFI/P responses etc. * Supporting the Project Manager with Statement of Works, estimates and roles required for new projects * Defining world-class high-level strategies & road maps; provide overall architectural vision * Provide direction on projects of various sizes and complexity and leadership across organizational and functional boundaries at client site **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Design Authority for the development and implementation of IBM solutions in their area of expertise. * Governance to ensure that projects are aligned with IBM's delivery methodology IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
