Job Description

Careerscape is hiring for a wind energy company in Lubbock that needs skilled Wind Turbine Technicians to maintain and repair turbines throughout West Texas. You'll work on renewable energy infrastructure helping power thousands of homes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on wind turbines
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Climb turbines to access components and make repairs
  • Replace parts and components as needed
  • Conduct inspections and document findings
  • Follow all safety procedures for working at heights
  • Use diagnostic tools and computer systems
  • Communicate with site supervisors on work status
  • Respond to turbine alarms and emergency situations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Wind turbine training program completion preferred
  • At least 1 year of wind turbine experience
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 300 feet
  • Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders daily
  • Valid driver license for travel between sites
  • Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong safety mindset and attention to procedures
