Job Title: X-Ray Technician
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $61/hr

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking X-Ray Technician for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and oversee radiologic imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Prepare and position patients for radiological procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
Adhere to strict radiation protection and infection control protocols for the safety of patients and staff.
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with preventive maintenance schedules.
Accurately document patient care and exam results in electronic medical records (Epic or similar systems).
Manage radiology supply inventory and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Support administrative tasks as needed, including greeting patients, check-in, and coordinating workflow.
Stay current with continuing education (CME) requirements and participate in professional development activities.
Contribute to a collaborative, respectful, and patient-focused team environment.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Licenses/Certifications:
- New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Skills:
- Proficiency in performing diagnostic procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.
- Comfortable assisting with administrative and patient-facing tasks.
