Job Title: X-Ray Technician
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $61/hr

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking  X-Ray Technician  for an exciting Travel or Local job in  New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee radiologic imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare and position patients for radiological procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
• Adhere to strict radiation protection and infection control protocols for the safety of patients and staff.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with preventive maintenance schedules.
• Accurately document patient care and exam results in electronic medical records (Epic or similar systems).
• Manage radiology supply inventory and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Support administrative tasks as needed, including greeting patients, check-in, and coordinating workflow.
• Stay current with continuing education (CME) requirements and participate in professional development activities.
• Contribute to a collaborative, respectful, and patient-focused team environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in performing diagnostic procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.
  • Comfortable assisting with administrative and patient-facing tasks.
