Summary:

• Job Position: Mandarin speaking Construction Safety Professional
• Rate of Pay: based on experience
• Shift: Day Shift - 5/10s could shift to 6/10's.
• Start Date: May 2025
• Location : Marshall, MI

Responsibilities:

• As a Mandarin-English Interpreter, you will be facilitating effective communication between English and Mandarin speakers in a construction environment
• Operate as a construction safety professional overseeing day to day operations and work being performed.
• Work in the field for oversight and compliance regarding OSHA standards, JSA/JHA's, toolbox talks, safety meetings and presentations, safety orientation
• Interpret spoken communication between English and Mandarin speakers in real-time.
• Facilitate communication among team members, trainers, and trainees to ensure clear understanding and successful learning outcomes
• Convey the meaning, tone, and context of the original speech while maintaining a high level of accuracy and clarity

Requirements:

• MUST be Bi-Lingual in English & Mandarin
• CHST/CSP preferred
• OSHA 510 with 3-5 years experience
• Prefer local to the project but will consider per diem if applicable.
• Ability to start this project ASAP
• Must have excellent writing and computer skills.
• Must be good with office suite products.
• Great communication - written & verbal.
