Job Title: Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer

Location: Canada (Remote)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and integration of Guidewire Insurance Suite solutions. You will play a key role in implementing PolicyCenter functionalities, customizing digital portals, and ensuring seamless system integration to support our insurance technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and architecture of Guidewire-based solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
Develop and customize Guidewire PolicyCenter and Digital Portal components.
Integrate Guidewire with third-party systems using SOAP/REST APIs, messaging (JMS/ActiveMQ), and batch processing.
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support deployment activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Provide mentorship to junior developers and participate in code reviews.
Monitor and optimize the performance of Guidewire applications.
Document technical designs, configurations, and processes for future reference.
Stay updated with the latest Guidewire advancements and incorporate new features into existing solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
Proficiency in Java, GOSU, XML, JSON, and web services (SOAP/REST).
Experience with Guidewire GX Model, Product Model, and Data Model customization.
Strong understanding of Guidewire plugins (predefined and custom).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment (3 days onsite in Toronto preferred).

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Guidewire Digital Portal.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of insurance domain processes and workflows.
