Job Description

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Industrial Spray Painter to join a defense and aerospace manufacturing facility in the Huntsville, AL area. This role is responsible for surface preparation, media blasting, masking, and applying coatings that meet MIL-SPEC, aerospace, and government painting standards . 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, sand, and media blast surfaces prior to painting.
  

• Perform masking detail and assemble items to meet MIL-SPEC and aerospace standards.
  

• Apply pre-mixed and blended coatings to interiors and exteriors of assemblies in compliance with DoD and aircraft industry requirements.
  

• Read and follow MIL-SPEC documentation, engineering drawings, and work orders.
  

• Handle materials, maintain equipment, and ensure work area safety and cleanliness.
  

• Accurately record process data in shop floor traveler/router documentation.
  

• Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
  

• Support team collaboration and contribute to maintaining high-quality production standards.
  

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
  

• VantageClear Certification (or equivalent) required.
  

• Minimum 2  years of painting experience in defense, aerospace, or similar industries.
  

• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality control.
  

• Effective communication skills in a team environment.
  

• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
  

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay range: $75,000 - 110,000 annually , based on experience and clearance level.
