Job Description

Description We are looking for an Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in San Bernardino, California. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within the paper and packaging industry, offering an excellent opportunity to grow your accounting skills in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient with accounting software, and capable of handling high-volume tasks with accuracy. Responsibilities: - Process full-cycle accounts payable, including entering, matching, and batching invoices. - Verify invoice accuracy by performing three-way matching procedures. - Generate and print purchase orders while ensuring pricing consistency. - Log and maintain invoice records in Excel spreadsheets for tracking purposes. - Reconcile accounts and ensure proper coding of transactions. - Create and issue customer invoices accurately and on time. - Manage high-volume invoice processing, handling over 200 invoices monthly. - Utilize AS400 and other ERP systems for accounting functions. - Conduct detailed account analysis to ensure financial accuracy. - Collaborate with team members to maintain up-to-date billing records. Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data logging and analysis. - Experience with accounts payable processes, including three-way matching. - Familiarity with accounting software systems such as AS400 or similar ERP solutions. - Strong understanding of billing processes and invoice creation. - Detail-oriented with the ability to manage high volumes of transactions. - Knowledge of account reconciliation and coding procedures. - Basic understanding of manufacturing industry accounting practices. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
